The weather was fair and the tennis furious as we played out the last club tournament before Finals Day (9th September folks!).
In the Ladies, Alison was victorious with Vanessa finishing a close second and Lynda was third.
In the Men’s competition, the victor was James with a perfect 50 score, but we were all happy to see Will Margetts receive the wooden spoon, which he accepted with great humility and in a good spirit! He would like you all to email him with your best recipes involving shallots – not!
Our thanks go to Lee, who organised with his usual efficiency and sat out for the competition (resting for Finals Day – 9th September folks!).
