Finals Day, 3 September 2011

This year's finals had some very close, entertaining and hard fought matches with several of them going to 3 sets. A big thank you goes to all those who had a hand in organising the day, supplying the excellent afternoon tea, the competitors, the spectators for their support and also, the umpires and line judges; we couldn’t do it without you.

Val Jenkins & Jennie Hathrill beat Nicky Long & Jean Willmot ------- 6 – 0 , 2 – 6 , 7 - 6 (Tie break 10-6)

Mixed Plate

Bridget Campbell & John Long beat Jennie Hathrill & Ian Forrester ------- 6 – 0 , 6 – 3

Mixed Doubles

Alison Houlston & Jeremy Fisher beat Nicky Long & Paul Smith ------- 7 – 6 (Tie break 7-2) , 6 – 4
